You Have Another Chance At Mega Yarn Yoshi

The Mega Yarn Yoshi amiibo is one of the hardest to get in the entire series — and by looking at it, you’d hardly even realize it was an amiibo. It’s not a plastic statue, but a full-sized stuffed yarn dinosaur with amiibo powers in its foot.

The reason Mega Yarn Yoshi is so rare is because it was a Toys R Us exclusive in the fall of 2015. A very limited number of them were produced and they all were sold at a store where any little kid would want them just as badly as an OCD collector would. The Yoshis cost $40, but that price was likely not much of a deterrent.

If you really want to try for Mega Yarn Yoshi, you have a second chance coming. Toys R Us announced on their Twitter account (they’re enjoying this, you can tell) that a new shipment of giant Yoshis was headed for their stores soon. Will there be more in this shipment than there were last time? Nope, same amount.

On 3/20 we’re hatching something big–the return of Mega Yarn Yoshi! In stores only, quantities eggs-tremely limited!

For those unable to get to a Toys R Us, or unwilling to put themselves through the insanity of tracking this beast down (which would be most of us), Nintendo also sells a regular-sized version of Yarn Yoshi, in several colors. This version can be found rather easily.
