The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Footage Shows Geralt of Rivia in Action
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will be coming out in just under four months instead of just under a month as fans had originally hoped. However, developer CD Projekt Red released a new extended gameplay video for the upcoming sequel with over 14 minutes of new footage. The new footage can be viewed in the player below.
The latest video features segments from The Witcher 3’s prologue and Skellige islands. The footage offers a good look at the game’s vast and epic open-world sandbox. Witcher Geralt of Rivia goes from battling phantoms inside a cave and transitions outward to his horse and gallops down the mountains to a local village in the forest. The footage also showcase another Witcher character, Vesemir. By the time of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, it appears the Witchers are a dying breed of sorts. He is one of the last surviving Witchers of the training keep Kaer Morhen. He is certainly a veteran Witcher and elder to Geralt. Other cut scenes from the montage show Geralt tracking the whereabouts of his long-lost love, Yennefer of Vengerberg. One of the more humorous scenes shows Geralt being bathed and prepared for an audience with Nilfgaardian Emperor Emhyr var Emreis. One of the servants orders Geralt’s lice-ridden beard to be shaved beards are seen as a distraction from one’s own elegance in Nilfgaard.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt’s release is still a ways a way, but the wait continues to lessen with each passing day. The game hits the shelves for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Windows PC on May 19.
