WB Reveals What To Expect From DC FanDome 2021
DC FanDome 2020 was such a success, WB is doing it for a second year. The return was announced last April, but it wasn’t revealed just what would be highlighted there. As of today, we know (and with the event less than two months away, it’s about time).
The movies are the biggest attraction, and DC promises we will hear more about, and possibly see clips from, The Batman, Black Adam, The Flash (movie version), Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom and Shazam! Fury of the Gods. The Batman has been confirmed to have a trailer ready; Aquaman and Shazam are still shooting and will be incomplete behind-the-scenes footage.
There will of course be panels for every active DC superhero series on broadcast and streaming. Superman & Lois, Batwoman, Legends of Tomorrow, Titans, DC’s Stargirl, Doom Patrol, The Flash, Harley Quinn and Supergirl. That last one will have just ended by the time FanDome rolls around; the panel will be more of a retrospective and tribute.
Panels for shows that don’t exist yet include The CW’s Naomi (coming in 2022), Aquaman: King of Atlantis, Batman: Caped Crusader, HBO Max’s Peacemaker and DMZ. The interesting thing about Peacemaker is that it’s a direct spinoff of the recent The Suicide Squad movie, and if you’ve seen that movie, you know….um….

IF YOU CONTINUE PAST THIS POINT YOU BETTER HAVE SEEN THE MOVIE
…that this must be a prequel because Peacemaker doesn’t make it through the film. He also turned out to be one of the true villains….yeah, they were all bad guys technically, but Peacemaker was willing to go far enough to kill THEM and was clearly coded as the one the audience should root against. I have no idea how they’ll base a show around him, given all that.
