Watch Dogs 2 Announced by Ubisoft
Ubisoft has officially announced the highly anticipated sequel Watch Dogs 2. The announcement trailer was released earlier today, and you can check out the video in the player below.
Ubisoft has the world premiere of gameplay footage for Watch Dogs 2 scheduled for Wednesday, June 8 at 12PM EST. In addition, the game will have some presence at the E3 2016 expo in Los Angeles, California next week. The original 2014 game followed hacker Aiden Pearce as he monitors and hacks those around him to search for those who hurt his family.
The announcement trailer is very much a tease of a “teaser.” It’s only about 30 seconds log. It only shows a rear shot of a person holding a smartphone and swiping it, and there are likely some hack programs on the phone. In addition, there are some other interesting and ominous images that flash on the screen in front of this character (Aiden Pearce?), while he’s swiping the screen on the phone.
The gameplay footage premiere will take place at http://www.watchdogs.com/. The trailer didn’t indicate a release window or even console availability for the game. More of that will likely be unveiled later this week or possibly at E3. The first game was released in 2014 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, Windows PC and Nintendo Wii U.
