True Lies , That 1994 movie starring Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jamie Lee Curtis is making a comeback. Now it is going to have a new life as a TV show.That action comedy film made $378.9 million. Before fans throw their pitchforks about Hollywood remaking everything. The True Lies you know and love is a remake of the French film La Totale!.
The Original Synopses of the movie is about a Secretary who didn’t know her Husband is secretly a Government anti-terrorism agent. All she knows is that he is a boring Computer salesman. James Cameron who directed the True Lies, Titanic,Terminator 2: Judgment Day and Avatar executive produce the show. So the franchise is in safe hands.

Harry (Steve Howey) Looks like your typical boring computer consultant. His marriage with his Wife Helen (Ginger Gonzaga) is bland and lifeless for years. The reason why he no time to spice up his married life is the fact he is secretly a Government agent that fights terrorist. His dangerous missions makes him neglect his emotional responsibilities as a husband and father.
Harry tries to find a way to make a balance between work and his relationship by bringing his wife on his mission to Paris. Chaos ensues when he and his wife will have to work together to save the world while trying to fix their marital problems.
The First Season of the Show will cover the events of the movie but if this got lucky enough to get renewal, we might get events beyond the source material. Fans have cancelation anxiety when there are new shows but this show might have a higher Survival rate because its in CBS. Like other TV Networks, CBS cancel shows too but their shows have higher Survival Rate than Netflix Originals and shows from Fox and ABC. True Lies will debut on the fall of 2022.
James Cameron is the Producer so No one can reboot his movies but him.
They better redo the Tango Scene and the Striptease scenes, Those are my favorite moments from the movie. This is the movie that made me love Jamie Lee Curtis.
True Lies as a movie was fun and very entertaining. I especially like the scenes that were filmed in Florida. True Lies as a TV series? UUhhh … the movie wasn’t that good. I don’t expect much from the TV series. In other words, NOT on my watch list.
I will give it a shot because its CBS. CBS has been killing it with new shows.
