Titanfall Frontiers Edge Revealed
Titanfall Frontiers Edge Revealed
Developer Respawn have today announced the name and some basic details for the second Titanfall DLC pack – it’s going to be called Titanfall Frontier’s Edge and was officially announced on the official Titanfall website. Frontier’s Edge will be made up of three new maps for Titanfall, promising to push “the battle to the furthest reaches of the universe“.
The three new maps for Titanfall will be named Dig Site, Haven and Export. There are no images or video footage of the new levels as of yet, but Respawn will likely release details in a similar manner to the last DLC pack; by releasing a video and screenshot pack for each map over a period of time prior to the release.
Dig Site is described on the official announcement post as an “isolated mining outpost“, Haven is described as an “exclusive beach resort” and Export is a “mining hub on the side of a mountain“.
Titanfall Frontier’s Edge will be available for “free” as part of the Titanfall Season Pass, or $9.99 as a standalone pack.
Just in case you’ve been living under a rock, have only recently picked up an Xbox One or have general curiosity, Respawn also provided a brief recap/overview of Titanfall.
Set in the near future on a distant frontier torn apart by war, Titanfall drops players in the middle of a conflict between the Interstellar Manufacturing Corporation (IMC) and the Militia. The action is rapid and varied – featuring parkour-style wall running and massive double jumps. The freedom to shift back and forth between pilot and titan allows players to change tactics on the fly, attacking or escaping depending on the situation and extending the action vertically to new heights.
We’ll keep you updated on Frontier’s Edge and any other Titanfall updates as they are announced.
