The Tent Sets Itself Up On Demand
The true test of an an actor is when they have to carry scenes solo, or nearly solo. Post-apocalyptic tales are reliable for this sort of gig. The Tent, now available on-demand from Gravitas Ventures, has won multiple awards for the performance of its lead actor.
A Santa Claus-looking man named David has spent the last several years living in a tent and scrounging for supplies. Civilization was decimated in an apocalyptic event referred to “The Crisis,” and ever since, the survivors have tried to carry on as best they can. David is carrying on fine at the moment, but his world is flipped upside down when another survivor, Mary, seeks refuge in his tent.
Mary has her own way of doing things and questions many of David’s decisions. You may think a fight’s a-brewing, but there’s a much urgent battle ahead that requires their cooperation to win. Turns out David and Mary aren’t the only two survivors around…
The Tent stars Tim Kaiser as David, Lulu Dahl and Shelby Bradley. It was written and directed by Kyle Couch, and it’ll be arriving on DVD soon, but it’s available on demand today.
An apocalyptic event known as The Crisis has devastated David’s world leaving him to rely on survival tactics learned from childhood. Isolated and alone, David has taken refuge in a tent on the edge of the wilderness. Soon enough, another survivor emerges, Mary, who immediately begins questioning David’s tactics and ultimately putting them in the crosshairs of “Those Who Walk In Darkness”, unseen creatures that may or may not be responsible for The Crisis.
