In the mythology of the story, there are two different types of witches: Black Witches and White Witches. In contrast to White Witches, who are viewed as the good ones, Black Witches, who are frequently viewed as evil. The reason is because practice dark magic. The main character is identified as being of Caucasian descent in the book; yet, she is depicted as having mixed racial heritage in the television adaptation; this change is explained.

Nathan Byrn (Jay Lycurgo) is an outcast in the society of witches. His white witch mother lost her life to give birth to him. He doesn’t know much about his mother because he never had the chance to spend much time with her. He attributes all of his problems in life to his father, Marcus Edge (David Gyasi).
Nathan, age sixteen, is the unacknowledged offspring of the most feared witch in the world. He’s being watched over his entire life for possible dangerous tendencies inherited from his father. However, as things heat up, the lines between “good” and “bad” begin to blur, and Nathan will learn what kind of person he really is.
Will Nathan go to the Dark side where is father came from or will he be the one to stop him?
