Crunchyroll Announces Seven New Acquisitions
This week Crunchyroll unveiled seven new anime acquisitions that will be arriving on the streamer later this year. The highlight is MF GHOST, the long-awaited anime adaption of Shuichi Shigeno’s sequel series to the iconic racing manga Initial D. For rom-coms, we’ve got the mismatched pair at the center of “Horiyama: The Missing Pieces” and the third season of “Rent-A-Girlfriend” (he’s been renting a girlfriend for three seasons? How sad). For enthusiasts of isekai, there’s “I Shall Survive Using Potions!”, about an office drone transported to a fantasy world and gifted the ability to make incredible potions. And for fantasy fans, there’s “Am I Actually the Strongest?”, a story about a man reincarnated as a prince — a prince that’s then abandoned in the woods by the king AS A BABY (oof). He lives, though, because the goddess of nature has accidentally granted him 1,000 times the magical power he was supposed to have. That king is in for it now. Check out all seven acquisitions below, accompanied by trailers.
