Eternal Vigilance Entertainment has just made their new Dungeons & Dragons inspired tactical RPG, which they simply call The Adventurers, available in Early Access on Steam. Fans of the D&D aesthetic might want to take a look at this one.
After creating the characters in your party utilizing a wide variety of customizable options, you’ll guide their decisions on an old-school overhead map reminiscent of IBM PC games in the 90s. Managing the stats of your party and growing their skills is key, as is upgrading their weapons and searching for new members (which you can find at taverns). Then it’s a matter of surviving each battle map.
The Adventurers uses a unique method of emulating the twists and turns of a D&D session by randomizing the events that occur in each playthrough. The binary DM overseeing the world will make sure no two journeys are the same.
