Star Wars Rebels: Darth Maul Returns

Lucasfilm and Disney XD have released the latest clip and photo stills for the next episode of Star Wars Rebels Season 3. You can check out the new video and images for “The Holocrons of Fate” below. Click on the thumbnails to see the full-size images.

In the new clip Darth Maul is looking for the Jedi holocron owned by Kanan Jarrus. He looks to have taken Hera hostage in order to get it. Maul even reveals Kanan’s real name. Maul is especially creepy and chilling in this scene. It’s definitely great to see Darth Maul back in the fray as a major villain for the series after his return in last season’s finale. It looks like Kanan, Ezra and the rest of the Ghost crew will have their work cut out for them dealing with this ex-Sith Lord.

Meanwhile, it should be interesting with how Ezra’s training will progress. At the start of the season, Ezra seemed to be veering closer to the dark side due to the influence of a Sith holocron. Kanan took it away, but was it too late?

Darth Maul is back and meaner than ever. Star Wars Rebels’ next episode, “The Holocrons of Fate,” arrives on Saturday, October 1 on Disney XD. It airs at 8:30 PM EST/PST.
