In an interview with Chilean website EMOL, Sony’s Vice President of Home Entertainment, Hiroshi Sakamoto was asked about the PlayStation 4 in which he replied:
”I can only say that we are focused on the E3 gaming event, scheduled for June. The announcement may be then or even earlier in May.”
However, as Hiroshi Sakamoto isn’t directly involved in the PlayStation division, his words should be taken with a pinch of salt. That being said, rumors that details of Sony’s PlayStation 4 will be announced in February don’t seem as likely now.

boo sony! *random rant*
Started this generation of gaming Xbox all the way, but am a hardcore Sony convert most days now. Excited to see the next gen consoles finally.
I too got a Xbox 360 for this gen. But if Microsoft is gonna continue with their Xbox Live Gold, I’ll get a Playstation 4.
My reasons for going Sony are purely the fact that they have more games I want to play. Look at the exclusives this year alone compared to 360. Halo 4 and Gears just don’t have the weight for me that Ni No Kuni, Last of Us, Sly 4 and God of War do.
