Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 Release Date Delayed
CI Games, the developers behind the Sniper: Ghost Warrior and Lords of the Fallen series of games, have announced that the release date for Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 has been delayed, due to feedback the team received during their open beta. Marek Tyminski, CEO of CI Games, spoke about the development and change of release date, saying:
“We’ve worked tirelessly creating a whole new Sniper: Ghost Warrior experience set in an ambitiously crafted open world new to the series. While it’s an unfortunate decision to delay the game one last time, we believe these final changes will result in a better experience for players worldwide on day one. Thank you for your patience – we know the wait will be worth it.”
The open beta for the game kicked off on February 2, but only lasted for several days, with CI Games getting extensive feedback over the course of the beta. According to reports, the beta included two missions from the beginning of the games campaign, as well as most of the features that the developers are planning on including in the game. When it was first announced, Tyminski spoke about the beta, saying:
“This beta includes two single-player missions from the beginning of the game, and is just a glimpse of what you’ll experience in the full open-world game. Every bit of feedback you give is invaluable to us, and we’ll listen closely to all comments. We’re committed to making Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 one of the best games you’ll play this year, and will do everything we can to meet your expectations. It’s a real treat to know the game will soon be played by so many of our fans.”
Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 tells the story of brotherhood, faith and betrayal in the most complete sniper experience ever. Players will take the role of an American sniper named Jonathan North, who is dropped into enemy territory in northern Georgia, nearby Russian borders. Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 is set to be released on April 25.
