Sensation Lands On Amazon Prime This April
Director Martin Grof’s sci-fi thriller Sensation has been announced for an April release on Amazon Prime Video. The marketing describes the movie as “David Cronenberg meets Tenet.”
As far as Andrew knows, he’s just an ordinary British postman. But he can’t shake the feeling there’s some secrets hidden in his family history, so he donates some DNA samples to a secret agency. The truth is wilder than he figured…he’s heir to superhuman powers that he’s just unlocked! Seems his grandparents allowed themselves to be experimented on by the government, and the result is Andrew’s heightened senses.
Soon, Andy finds he’s not alone in this. Others had ancestors who did the same thing and now they have powers too. But what does this all mean? And what is the agency REALLY after? Are they all in danger?
Sensation stars Eugene Simon (Game of Thrones), Emily Wyatt, Jennifer Martin and Bethan Wright. The movie was co-written by Grof and Magdalena Drahovska, and will be released exclusively on Amazon Prime Video April 16.
Andrew (Eugene Simon) is on a quest to uncover hidden truths about his family history, provides a top-secret agency with his DNA in order to discover his ancestry. It’s revealed that not only does Andrew have unlocked superhuman powers within his DNA but his grandparents previously participated in a government program that tried to influence human senses. He joins the program only to find, he’s not alone. Joining him at the grand research facility in the British countryside is a group of other individuals with superhuman skills. The agency tells Andrew that he’ll be able to receive information based on his senses and furthermore be able to control the senses of others. However, as the secret training unfolds, Andrew starts to struggle with the program due to his emotions continually being triggered. Very strange things start to happen following this as he is placed in several bizarre scenarios that make him question his reality.
