See The First Two Screenshots From Rick And Morty’s New Season
Each wait between seasons of Adult Swim’s Rick And Morty has been longer than the one before it. This should hopefully change with the new 70-episode deal creators Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland have signed with AS. Nearly two years after the last time we saw Rick, he returns this November to wreak havoc in the name of selfish gain and inspire Szechuan Sauce riots.
EW.com acquired the first two screenshots from Season Four and published them this morning, providing lots of potential hints. The problem is, they’re screenshots from THIS show, which means they really don’t provide any hints whatsoever. We’re dealing with a premise where anything can happen.
What is Rick doing in this yellow meadow on a distant world (observe his ship parked on the shore)? He looks uncharacteristically serene. Either he’s high right now, or he just killed someone.
Why is Rick confronting this hostile-looking race of cyborg crocodile warriors? It could be from the main plot of an episode, or it could be from the end tag, or a throwaway bit from this season’s main title…so many possibilities!
We won’t have to wait long for answers. A Rick and Morty panel is scheduled for this Friday at SDCC. In case anyone reading is able to attend, it begins at 1 PM Pacific in the Indigo Ballroom at the Hilton Bayfront. Wubba Lubba Dub Dub!
