Season Two Of Wind Breaker Confirmed For 2025

Last night the Season One finale of the brawler anime Wind Breaker aired in Japan, and was simulcast in the US via Crunchyroll. Moments later, it was confirmed that the show has done well enough to secure a second season, which is now in production.

Wind Breaker (get your immature giggles about the name out now….done? Okay, good, let’s continue) takes place at Furin High School, more known for its constant fights than any actual learning. Some of its students even formed a group, Bofurin, that now prowls around policing the town. Haruka Sakura is a first-year student who just moved here from out of town, and now has only one goal: becoming the leader through battling his way to the top.

Wind Breaker is produced by CloverWorks (SPY x FAMILY; Black Butler: Public School Arc; BOCCHI THE ROCK!) and directed by Toshifumi Akai (Fate/Grand Order -Absolute Demonic Front: Babylonia-) with series composition and screenplays written by Hiroshi Seko (Attack on Titan Final Season; Chainsaw Man; JUJUTSU KAISEN). The second season is expected to star the same Japanese voice cast:

  • Yuma Uchida as Haruka Sakura

  • Shoya Chiba as Akihiko Nirei

  • Koki Uchiyama as Kyotaro Sugishita

  • Nobunaga Shimazaki as Hayato Suo

  • Toshiyuki Toyonaga as Mitsuki Kiryu

  • Kengo Kawanishi as Taiga Tsugeura

  • Yuichi Nakamura as Hajime Umemiya

  • Ryota Suzuki as Toma Hiragi

  • Nobuhiko Okamoto as Ren Kaji

  • Kikunosuke Toya as Choji Tomiyama

  • Yuichiro Umehara as Jo Togame

  • Chiaki Kobayashi as Kota Sako

  • Ikumi Hasegawa as Kotoha Tachibana

The English dub of Wind Breaker is a bit behind the sub and will run the finale Thursday, July 11.

English voice cast and characters:

  • Austin Tindle as Haruka Sakura

  • Bryson Baugus as Akihiko Nirei

  • Orion Pitts as Kyotaro Sugishita

  • Dallas Reid as Hayato Suo

  • Drew Breedlove as Mitsuki Kiryu

  • Jordan Dash Cruz as Taiga Tsugeura

  • Aaron Campbell as Hajime Umemiya

  • Nick Huber as Toma Hiragi

  • Derick Snow as Choji Tomiyama

  • Chris Guerrero as Jo Togame

  • Ian Moore as Kota Sako

  • Hollis Beck as Kotoha Tachibana

Season 2 of Wind Breaker is expected to begin airing sometime in 2025.

YESSS! Wind Breaker Season 2 is a reality! That cliffhanger in the finale had me screaming, and now I don't have to wait forever for answers! Can't wait to see Haruka's next battle and how Bofurin evolves.

Wind Breaker Season 2?! Heck yeah! Just gotta finish the sub first, but I'm definitely hyped for the dub cast to bring these characters to life again. Austin Tindle as Haruka is already perfect casting, and I'm curious to hear how they handle the rest of the new characters

CloverWorks returning for Wind Breaker Season 2 is fantastic news! They absolutely nailed the animation and fight choreography in Season 1. Plus, with Hiroshi Seko back on series composition, the story's sure to stay engaging. Here's hoping they adapt the [specific arc name] arc next season โ€“ that's when things get really intense!

A 2025 release for Wind Breaker Season 2, huh? Well, good anime takes time, and I'd rather have a well-produced season than a rushed one. In the meantime, I can always re-watch the first season and check out the manga to see what's coming next
