Samurai Jack: Battle Through Time Announced For Summer
Jack is back! Sort of. The cartoon series has wrapped up its story for good (thank you, Adult Swim), but you can experience a lost chapter from the wandering samurai’s adventures when Samurai Jack: Battle Through Time is released for consoles and PC.
It turns out that right before Jack went into his final confrontation with the villainous (yet loveable) Aku, the dark demon zapped Jack into an alternate timeline! (What, again?) To return, Jack must team up with the friends he gained throughout the series to re-battle the entire lineup of villains he faced during those five seasons. The narrative is, essentially, an excuse to give Samurai Jack fans what they want from a game. You decide if it’s canon.
Want to know more about Samurai Jack: Battle Through Time? There’s no demo yet, but the game will be shown off at PAX East. Samurai Jack creator Genndy Tartakovsky and head writer Darrick Bachman will be in attendance at the Adult Swim Games panel, which takes place in the Dragonfly Theatre on Friday, February 28, at 1:30 PM Eastern. Maybe you can also learn something about the game at the Adult Swim party on Saturday, February 29, at The Grand Boston.
Samurai Jack: Battle Through Time is coming this summer for Playstation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One and PC.
