Find, repair, and protect robots in this cozy adventure game. Keep an eye out for the solarpunk game Rusthaven, made by the developers of Crab God!
Chaos Theory Games is no newbie when it comes to the indie scene, having released the acclaimed Crab God back in 2024. It stood as a game that valued both fun and the chance to impact the world, working in tandem with the dots.eco conservation effort. Now they seek to something similar in their upcoming game, Rusthaven.

The game was just recently announced, and seeks to make a similar yet separate impact on the world like Crab God. Rusthaven is all about recovery and hope, of robots seeking to rebuild and thrive in a broken world. It’s a hopeful take on how we can truly live in the future through connecting with one another and forging unbreakable bonds.
Taking place in an overgrown post apocalyptic world, you play as a robotic captain of an airship. Finding your old friend Bipp destroyed, you take your airship across the world. As you travel about, you find both old tech and other bots in their own situation, and help them in fixing their problems.

With the game being about hope and second chances, you can befriend and help the broken robots you take on. You can build personalized rooms to house them on the ship as you fix and upgrade them. You fuel this through resources, which are attained as you fly across the world.
As you fix each robot, they will thank you by assisting you in your adventure. This includes upgrading your ship and getting abilities that can help you as you grow closer and closer to them. Your ship goes from being a simple piece of transport, to a veritable village of a close found family trying to help one another for a better future.

Rusthaven releases sometime in 2027, though the game has Steam page where you can wishlist it for the future. You can discuss Rusthaven on the PopGeeks Video Game Forum!
