Rogue One: Animated Parody Shorts Released Online
Lucasfilm has released the first two chapters of Star Wars Go Rogue, an animated fan series created by a team of super-fans. They’ve created a delightful little stop-motion animated parody series based on Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. You can watch the first two chapters of the Go Rogue series in the players below.
Go Rogue was created by James DeJulio at Tongal and written by Kevin Ulrich. The stop-motion animated was created and directed by Dan MacKenzie and Tucer Barrie. Both episodes have already achieved millions of viewers so far. The series was created with Star Wars toys made by Hasbro, LEGO, Funko, Jakks Pacific, Mattel and the Disney Store.
The latest episode features Jyn Erso joining forces with the Rebels on Jeda to take on Imperial enemies of all shapes and size. Meanwhile, Director Krennic puts out increasing pressure. The Rebels now have to escape Jedha with the Empire’s building instructions for the Death Star.
This show is really cute and a lot of fun. It’s a nice little taste of the Rogue One story and group of characters. It does its job well. The creators who made the show are obviously talented. Meanwhile, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story hits theaters on December 16.
