Capcom has announced there is a slight delay for the release of the first episode of Resident Evil Revelations 2. The release date for episode one has been moved back one week. According to Capcom, the delay came as a result to fine-tune the final product. Hopefully, that means the final game will be a more polished, glitch-free product that does not require a dozen patches to fix.
Episode One of Resident Evil Revelations 2 will now launch on the PlayStation Store in North America on February 24. The first episode will hit Europe, Middle East and Africa territories along with Xbox Live Global and Steam Global on February 25. Each episode will feature a scenario with Claire Redfield and Moira Burton as well as a Barry Burton and Natalia Korda scenario. Each episode will also have Raid Mode content. Capcom said that more details on Raid Mode are coming soon.
Capcom also confirmed some new release details for the digital and disc releases for the game. The individual, digital Resident Evil Revelations 2 episodes will be available a la carte for $5.99 each or $24.99 for the Complete Season. In addition, the game will be available as a retail disc release for $39.99. The retail disc release or the Complete Season both include two bonus episodes for the game. The disc release includes exclusive bonus content in the form of exclusive alternate costumes, Hunk and Wesker as Raid Mode characters and the Raid Mode Throwback Map Pack. Hunk will be available as a Raid Mode character for the Complete Season order for the digital release.
