Resident Evil HD Remaster Available for Pre-Order for Xbox One
The wait for players to once again enter the world of survival horror is almost over. Per MajorNelson.com, the Resident Evil HD remaster is now available for digital pre-order and pre-download for Microsoft’s Xbox One console.
Players can pre-order the game now directly from the Xbox Live marketplace or online for $19.99. The file download size is 14.98 gigabytes. Players will be able to download the game from Xbox Live before its scheduled release date of January 20. However, Resident Evil fans will not be able to play the “REmake” until January 20 starting at 12:01 AM PDT or 3:01 AM EST on the east coast.
The fully remastered HD version of the classic game takes players back to the original story of the STARS team who go to a mansion on the outskirts of Raccoon City to investigate a series of bizarre murders. The group is attacked by blood-thirsty zombie dogs before taking refuge in the mansion. Resources are scarce, and the mansion holds its own terrifying secrets that leads to a fight for survival.
The updated version of Resident Evil is an HD remaster of the 2002 Gamecube remake of the game. The HD REmake will also be available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Windows PC on January 20. A month later, Capcom will launch the new episodic digital survival horror game, Resident Evil Revelations 2, the 10th installment of the franchise. Episode one launches on February 17, with episodes two through four coming out weekly. Based on early trailers and footage, Resident Evil Revelations 2 definitely appears to be a return to form of the style of the classic original game. In short, 2015 looks to be a big and significant year for the Resident Evil franchise. Hopefully, the potential success of the HD remaster of Resident Evil could encourage Capcom to release HD remakes of Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil 3 and Resident Evil: Code Veronica.
