Sony PlayStation has released a new story trailer today for the upcoming Ratchet & Clank reboot game that’s set to coincide with the upcoming CG animated movie. You can check out the new video in the player below.
Ratchet and Clank will make their cinematic debut in a new movie coming out next month. The game is due out around the same time. The new PlayStation 4 game re-imagines the original installment of the franchise.
It’s great to see Ratchet & Clank back in a game again. Hopefully, the film, since it’s animated and can look like the game, will be better than most video game-based features. Ratchet & Clank is due out on April 12. It will be available for exclusively PlayStation 4 for $39.99. In addition, the Ratchet & Clank movie hits theaters on April 29. The Game, Based on the Movie, Based on the Game…no, seriously, it is! The film and game are designed as complementary pieces. They tell the same origin story of Ratchet & Clank battling Chairman Drek, with the same major beats and character arcs.
