Preorders For The One Ring RPG Open Today
The One Ring roleplaying game, based on the Lord of the Rings world, was first introduced in 2011 and quickly became a staple of the RPG quester’s library. Last February, Free League Publishing announced a revised version alongside a crowdfunding campaign…a massively successful one. The Kickstarter ended up raking in over two million dollars, setting a record for the highest-earning tabletop RPG in the history of the site. If you didn’t nab a preorder from the campaign, you can still get the game…starting today, it’s open for anyone.
The new edition of The One Ring, created by game designer Francesco Nepitello, comes in a new hardbound volume containing a set of updated and streamlined rules based on player feedback over the years. The look of the game has been redesigned as well.
- A set of updated and streamlined rules, developed thanks to years of players’ feedback and raising the game to the standards of quality that have made Free League so popular.
- A new setting to experience – the Lone-lands of Eriador in the year is 2965 of the Third Age. This is a vast land that once saw the glory of the North Kingdom of the Dúnedain.
- A complete visual redesign of art and graphics, offering a view of Middle-earth that is fresh and familiar at the same time.
The new revised version of The One Ring will come with the core rulebook, the starter set, a branded Loremaster’s Screen & Rivendell Compendium, cloth maps and sets of dice. You can secure your copy through this link to Free League’s web store (prices are listed in Norwegian money).
