Post-Apocalyptic Thriller Shadows Debuts On VOD November 15

Here’s another horror import from Red Water Entertainment, the same folks who are bringing over The Sleep Experiment. In the same month they’ll also be presenting Shadows, a post-apocalyptic thriller and an Irish-Italian co-production.

Three women — two teenagers and their mother — live in the woods after the collapse of society. The two girls are forbidden to venture out anywhere beyond their home, under the strict orders of their mother. She claims there are monsters lurking out there, the “Shadows,” which will get them otherwise. But as they grow to be skeptical of this claim, they decide to secretly follow their mother as she goes out for another of her hunting trips. Is she a liar or are the monsters real?

Shadows stars Mia Threapleton (Kate Winslet’s kid), Lola Petticrew and Saskia Reeves, and was directed by Carlo Lavagna from a script written by Fabio Mollo, Damiano Bruè, Vanessa Picciarelli, and Tiziana Triana. Look for it on most digital platforms November 15.

Alma and Alex, two teenage sisters, are survivors of a catastrophic event. They live deep in the woods with their Mother, a strict, overprotective woman who has sheltered them from ominous presences, the Shadows, which live in the daylight and infest the world beyond the river. When they follow Mother out for hunting, Alma and Alex start a series of events which will make them discover the truth about the Shadows and their own reality.
