We can now have a long nose battle royale of all those iterations. If your wish upon a star is to watch 3 Pinocchio films in one year. 2022 will be your year.

Two days Ago Netflix released the Teaser of Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio

The titular puppet did not make an appearance on the trailer but we get to see a creepy interpretation of the Crickett named Sebastian.  This version of Pinocchio is a Netflix exclusive and more likely a CGI animated film with Steam Punk Aesthetics. This Guillermo del Toro film is promised to be a reimagining of the classic tale but will maintain its elements. Gregory Mann will play the lead role and he will have a star studded support cast that includes  Finn Wolfhard,Cate Blanchett,Ron Perlman,Ewan McGregor and Tilda Swinton.

Disney Plus is also going to remake the Disney Version of the tale.

Award Winning Actor, Tom Hanks is going to play Geppetto and Benjamin Evan Ainsworth will play the lead. For the first time in history, Blue Fairy will be played by an African American Actress. It is because Cynthia Erivo who is known for her hit movie  Harriet snags the role.

Lion’s Gate also joined the Pinocchio party with a movie that stars Tom Kenny from Spongebob.

What makes this one different? This time Pinocchio has a love interest. She is the main reason why he wanted to become a real boy. He is more of a teenager than a child in this iteration.
