Outbreak Gets 50 Percent Markdown on Steam
Dead Drop Studios officially announced this week that the top-down, survival horror shooter, Outbreak, is now available for a special discounted rate of 50 percent off through April 4. The game is a free single-player demo that’s available on Windows PC through Steam. Players can also try out a free single-player demo that’s also available on the Steam store page.
Outbreak is inspired by such games as Resident Evil and Silent Hill, giving players limited supplies and random enemy/item placement. The game follows the scenario where a government-funded cancer research project has started an unspeakable horror. Players can take the role of several characters: Mason, the seasoned police officer; Alendra, the computer scientist and engineer; Ethan, the bioscience college student; Quies, the paralegal; Stan, the foreman; Nora, the architect; and Kass, the detective. The game features a high difficulty level for players to take as well as challenging puzzles and only one life.
Other features for the game include multiplayer that runs on cloud servers. There is said to be no firewall-related connection issues. Additionally, the game has a region selector to for low ping worldwide. Also, the game is playable offline in single-player mode.
Dead Drop Studios also confirmed that the game is in the works and Xbox One and Windows Store release for the near future.
