Our Second Quick Look At Liam Hemsworth As The Witcher

We’ve got a full trailer for The Witcher Season 4 today. There is now less than a month between us and the return of this show, after an extended break of more than two years. What are Geralt, Yennefer and Ciri up to now?

If the trailer’s any indication, the goal remains the same. Geralt’s mission is to slay a lot of monsters and, once again, hunt for his adopted daughter. Yennefer’s role is to yell and make CG magic balls appear, and sometimes kiss Geralt when he’s close enough to her vicinity. As for Cirilla…well, let’s hope her storyline isn’t going where the previous season implied. “Evil Ciri” is not what I want to see at all…this entire society seems to revolve around her, and if Ciri becomes a bad person that world has no hope. And why would I want to watch Geralt fight his own kid? That better not be the ending to this.

I guess if worse comes to worse there is always Witcher 4: The Video Game, coming soon from CD Projekt Red, where Ciri is the main character and YOU decide what she does. That game may or may not beat Witcher Season 5 (the final season) to market, depending on how long each takes.

But for the TV show, it may not be long. Seasons Four and Five of The Witcher were produced together and filmed one after the other. The last time Netflix did that was with Squid Game and there was a separation of only six months between Seasons 2 and 3. So if these last two seasons are disappointments, at least they could be over quick. The Witcher returns Ocrober 30.
