Oni Press May 2026 Solicitations: Rick and Morty’s Final Bow and 15 More

Oni Press’s May 2026 solicitations are defined by endings. After more than a decade in comics, the publisher’s Rick and Morty run reaches its conclusion with two releases: The End #6, completing Daniel Kibblesmith and Jarrett Williams’s six-issue finale series, and Forever #0, a standalone special reuniting Kibblesmith with franchise veteran Troy Little. Together, these books close one of Oni’s longest-running licensed partnerships. But endings are only half the picture. Across 16 titles from Oni Press, May also delivers an origin story for EC’s horror host, a new creator-owned launch, and a fresh jumping-on point for Adventure Time, all while several series wrestle with characters forced to confront what they’ve done and who they’ve become.

Rick and Morty’s Final Chapter

The End #6 brings the limited series to its “catastrophic, mind-bending close” with the full ensemble in play. Forever #0 frames itself as a coda, following Rick trapped in forced cosmic observation while Morty faces a fate of his own. Troy Little’s wraparound foil cover and oversized format make this feel like a special release you’ll actually want to display. For readers who followed the comic from its April 2015 debut, May 2026 is the definitive endpoint.

Reckoning and Redemption

A thread runs through several of May’s titles: characters facing judgment for their pasts. Spirit of the Shadows #5 delivers that premise most directly, as Erik Leroux stands before a final verdict of redemption or damnation. The Autumn Kingdom: The Wraithbound Queen #4 closes with sisters confronting a millennia-old fae debt paid in human blood, and the question of whether they can simply walk away from what they’ve witnessed. Dead Teenager #3 pushes its time-loop premise to a crossroads, with a figure from the past potentially holding the key to breaking the cycle. Even Rick and Morty Forever frames its finale as cosmic punishment: Rick forced to witness everything he’s caused, powerless to intervene.

Origins and New Voices

EC Catacomb of Torment #11 inverts the month’s backward-looking pattern by building forward. Dustin Weaver writes and illustrates an origin story for the Tormentor, EC’s horror host, giving the character her first dedicated spotlight issue. It’s the most significant single-issue investment in the EC revival’s mythology to date. Cruel Universe 2 #10 continues the sci-fi anthology with contributions from Greg Pak, Liam Johnson, and Felipe Cunha.

Destination Kill #1, the month’s lone new launch, brings British dystopian sci-fi to Oni’s line. Joe Palmer writes, illustrates, and hand-letters this four-issue series set in 2125 London, where a corporate megalopolis and a worker uprising collide. Palmer’s solo creative control gives the book a distinct voice among Oni’s more collaborative titles.

Licensed Worlds and Collected Histories

Murder Drones expands in two directions: the ongoing series reaches issue #4, and a standalone Home Special adapts the show’s origin episode with guest artist Soo Lee. Adventure Time #13 begins a fresh arc centered on Magic Man, offering a clean entry point for new readers.

Estuary: A Ghost Story #2 deepens Tim Daniel, D.B. Andry, and Maan House’s California mission haunting, layering personal history into its Pacific coast setting as Maris uncovers her own connections to the mission.

Four collected editions anchor the month’s back catalog. The Skullkickers Compact Attack Edition packages Jim Zub and Edwin Huang’s entire 34-issue run in a single slipcase. Hana and Taru SC presents an ecological fantasy from Léo Schilling and Motteux. Two European imports arrive in hardcover: The Beast Vol. 1, Zidrou and Frank Pe’s story of a boy and an exotic animal in 1950s Belgium, and The Collected Toppi Vol. 12, continuing the restoration of Sergio Toppi’s works with three never-before-translated tales. The Beast carries its own echo of the month’s themes: a child ostracized for his father’s wartime allegiance, unable to escape the past’s reach.

THIS IS IT, THE FINAL END OF RICK AND MORTY! In one last shamelessly transparent promotional stunt, Oni Press, unsatisfied with the end of The End, proudly presents Rick and Morty Forever . . . the final issue of Oni Press’ immortal run on the sci-fi, dimension-hopping, foul-mouthed, pretentiously beautiful, intellectual temper tantrum turned cultural phenomenon known as Rick and Morty from nigh-omnipotent writer Daniel Kibblesmith (Loki) and franchise über-veteran Troy Little (Cult of the Lamb)!

How do you punish the smartest man in the universe? Show him everything, everything, he’s ever wanted to know or see . . . and afford him no power to do anything about it. Rick Sanchez, the destroyer of worlds. Now he sits in endless observation of all there is to see, tortured by cosmic impotence, the ultimate expression of “go to your room and think about what you did.”

But in his endless torment, Rick realizes that a fate of unspeakable horror also awaits his unwitting companion: his grandson, Morty. Can Rick save the soul of the only being that ever stood by him through all his indiscretions? Can the transformative power of love give rise to the triumph of the human spirit? Or is everything just #@$%@?

THE FUTURE IS A RIOT! In the footsteps of JUDGE DREDD, V FOR VENDETTA, and TANK GIRL, the first great milestone in 22nd-century science fiction is here! Written, illustrated, and hand-lettered by British comics virtuoso Joe Palmer (Time Before Time), DESTINATION KILL is powered by the thrum of a million gigawatts of nonstop visual firepower . . . as rendered by one of the most incendiary visual storytellers in comics today.

The year is 2125, and the all-powerful corporation Overcon uses its robot workers to pour our drinks and dispense our meds, all while rebuilding London’s Central City into a hyper-modern megalopolis bolted together in its own image. But as Overcon prepares to celebrate the first year of its Paradise Loop, a superfast transatlantic train that connects the Central City to New York in just 60 minutes, an unwieldy army of displaced human workers floods the streets with weapons, plotting an attack at the anniversary gala. Enter: Gina Serene, a stressed-out, pill-popping police detective in desperate need of a vacation, and her ex-partner turned P.I., Lance Wingman, who are now the only thing standing between Overcon’s skyscraper-sized fist and the worker uprising that threatens to bring Britain’s capital crashing down around them.

  • ART AND COVER BY FRANK PE

This sometimes dark, but always hopeful, adventure by renowned author Zidrou and celebrated gallery artist Frank Pe portrays a beautiful friendship between a boy and his beast with a magnificent adventure whose heart is the extraordinary friendship that can unite a child with an animal . . .

Captured in the heart of Palombia by Chahuta Indians and sold to exotic animal traffickers, a marsupilami lands in the port of Antwerp in the 1950s. Managing to escape, he arrives in the suburbs of Brussels and is taken in by François, a young boy who is a fan of animals and whose daily life is far from easy. François is picked on by the local kids, particularly because his father had been a German soldier, an unforgivable crime in those postwar years; a fact he and his mother cannot escape. Both are ostracized for their connection to past events.

The authors pay a superb tribute to the fabulous animal created by Franquin in the series Spirou et Fantasio while denouncing the mistreatment and trafficking of exotic animals.

This is a smart marketing move by CRKD. The Neo S and Nitro Deck are already solid controllers, and collaborating with Coffee Stain North ensures they tap into a dedicated fanbase. While Goat Simulator is a niche game, it has a cult following, and the humor around it aligns well with CRKD’s quirky branding. I’m curious if the controllers offer any functional differences beyond aesthetics. Also, the Linkin Park controller’s extra buttons sound intriguing—could be useful for rhythm games beyond Fortnite Festival.

A Goat Simulator controller? That’s hilarious and kind of awesome! I never thought I’d see the day when someone made hardware themed around chaotic goats, but I guess anything is possible now. I already own a Nitro Deck, but if these designs are cool, I might just get one for the novelty. Also, didn’t expect to hear about Linkin Park in 2025, but I guess they’re still going strong.

This feels like another gimmick to sell controllers without actually improving them. I get that themed hardware can be fun, but unless these controllers have better ergonomics, better battery life, or something actually useful, I don’t see why I’d buy one. Limited edition just means they’ll jack up the price, and fans will rush to get one before they sell out. Also, Fortnite Festival getting its own controller with extra buttons makes sense, but a Goat Simulator one? Feels unnecessary.

This is the greatest news I’ve ever read! Goat Simulator deserves all the love it gets. It’s ridiculous, fun, and now I can play it with a controller dedicated to the experience. I hope they went all out with the design—maybe put a goat face on the buttons? If this also comes with some in-game bonus content, that would be even better. Either way, I’m getting one!

The Linkin Park controller is what caught my eye. It’s cool to see them still making music and even more interesting that they’re integrated into Fortnite Festival. I wonder if the extra buttons make a big difference for playing rhythm games. If it works well with other titles like Clone Hero, it could be a great alternative for those who miss Guitar Hero and Rock Band.
