“Nitara is back in Mortal Kombat 1. The last time this winged vampire appeared in a Mortal Kombat game was in Mortal Kombat Armageddon, which is back in 2006. She did make cameos in the Netherrealm era Mortal Kombat games, but she’s not a playable character, and she doesn’t even have a line.
Now, she is a prominent character in Mortal Kombat 1, which is a great redemption for this character because in the recent Mortal Kombat movie, she was just killed by Kung Lao in a few seconds. The actress who played her on that film had very little screen time, but it’s not gonna happen anymore because Nitara got a Hollywood A-lister makeover. She’s gonna be voiced by Hollywood actress Megan Fox, who is known for her roles in the Transformers films and Teenage Ninja Turtle films during the early 2000s to 2010s.
NITARA OFFICIAL TRAILER
Megan Fox is very fitting to play Nitara because first, her most praised role in her career is when she played a vampire-like succubus in Jennifer’s body. That movie was a boxoffice failure when it was released, but it became a cult film classic at the streaming services. It’s doing well in streaming services. It was so ahead of its time that Jennifer’s body is now popular in streaming services. And that movie resurfacing probably triggers hiring Megan Fox to play Nitara.
Another fact, Megan Fox is actually a Mortal Kombat fan. Yes. She said that she plays Mortal Kombat ever since she’s a child. She mains Scorpion as her character when she plays. Online or offline, she plays Scorpion.
To prove that she’s not a fake, that she actually plays Mortal Kombat, here is an old video of Megan Fox playing Mortal Kombat
In the story of Mortal Kombat 1, Nitara is a vampire who fights for the survival of her people. While humans might perceive her as evil, she is merely a creature fighting for her race’s survival. She harbors a bitter rivalry against the demon Ashrah, who wields the magical sword called the Criss, as it aids her in purifying her soul. Ironically, the most common victims of her sword are vampires.
