Nintendo Switch Presentation Set for January

Last week, Nintendo finally unveiled the details of its next upcoming console, the Nintendo Switch. The Nintendo Switch is essentially a console that doubles as a home and portable game console for video gamers. This week, Nintendo has announced the plans for the Nintendo Switch Presentation 2017. The announcement was made today in Tokyo to financial analysts by Nintendo president Tatsumi Kimishima.

The event will be for invited media, financial analysts and trade partners in Tokyo, Japan. However, people at home will be able to get to watch the event, which will be globally livestreamed on January 12. The presentation will feature the launch date and pricing for the console, and the lineup of games that’s now in development.

Additionally, Nintendo and Kimishima have confirmed that there will be sampling events for invited media, partners and consumers in the United States and Europe later in 2017 after the presentation at later dates. Also, Nintendo is promising opportunities for the public to take part in hands-on events with the Switch at the same time. More details on these events will be revealed later on.

One imagines this upcoming presentation will reveal some of the launch titles for the console, besides The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Nintendo will reveal the exact broadcast time for the Nintendo Switch Presentation 2017 through its social media channels in the coming weeks. The Switch is scheduled for a spring 2017 release.
