Nefflix put out a new featurette hyping Stranger Things 5 this morning. If you’re hoping to see anything you haven’t before, there’s not much in the way of that. This is mostly a piece where the actors talk about their experience working on the show. While you can spot some never before seen material, it’s mostly shots of the Season 5 sets, with the actors performing against a blue screen. It’s meant to fill a gap while the post-production and special effects crew work tirelessly to finish the season, so they have some new clips ready for later.
“It’s more of an adventure and more of a mission, which I really like,” says Millie Bobby Brown. “Everybody is really put into the thick of it. No one is sitting back on a walkie-talkie. Everyone is full throttle, going for it.” Winona Ryder says “I got to watch these kids grow, which is the biggest gift that this show has given me.” She sounds easy to shop for. “We’ve come full circle. The fans will be truly satisfied with the ending,” says Caleb McLaughlin. Only if El lives!
Despite this being mostly a clip show, it does do its job of hyping you for a season you can’t really look at. In the meantime, if it’s a “real” Stranger Things 5 trailer you’re after, we’d put our bets on one showing up during New York Comic-Con next month. Then you can expect another trailer on November 6, the designated “Stranger Things Day.”
Stranger Things 5 becomes half-available November 26 at 5 PM with the first four episodes. The next three will follow on Christmas and the finale on New Years Eve. Scroll down for more fun!
