New Nintendo 3DS Will Be Reduced To $99 On Black Friday
Here’s some nice news: Nintendo is lowering the entry cost to their most advanced 3DS model this coming Black Friday. Beginning November 25 you’ll be able to score a New Nintendo 3DS for just $100. This isn’t an offering from a specific retailer, it’s from Nintendo itself and will be available everywhere.
Is there a catch? Well, sort of. The $99.99 price point will only apply to a specific model of the New 3DS, which will be introduced that very day. This new model is embossed with Mario character designs and comes in two shades (white or black). It’s the original size, not the XL version, and it doesn’t come with a pre-installed digital copy of a game like the other models do. If none of those technicalities sound like problems to you, then this should be a good deal.
But if you’d rather have a bigger model, or one that comes with a game, it’s not unreasonable to expect those versions will be discounted by someone Thanksgiving weekend.
All these discounts are probably for a reason. Nintendo will be introducing a hybrid console-handheld device, called the Switch, this coming March.
