“My Family” (“Storia della mia famiglia”) is a Netflix Dramedy Series, has one episode in its first season, that will be released on February 19, 2025.

“I know when I won’t be here, you’ll feel lost. … You’ll have to become a family.”

“My Family” could have as its alternate title “The Life of Fausto”.

Fausto (played by Eduardo Scarpetta) has been diagnosed with a terminal illness and it’s the last day of his life. He has a wife ~ Maria (played by Cristiana Dell’Anna), a son ~ Luca (played by Massimiliano Caiazzo), and a daughter ~ Anna (played by Vanessa Scalera).

Maria does what all good female heads of the family do – tries to hold the family together during this difficult time. No matter how prepared you are for your spouse’s death, you know your children might turn to you for strength and solace, even if they are adults. A son might wonder if he can carry on with his own life and question whether he can step into his father’s “shoes” after his death. A daughter might struggle with the responsibility of caring for her father as it would not be right for her mother to totally carry the burden.

The theme of “My Family” is universal. In short, this series explores family relationships and people preparing for the end of one of their family members. “My Family” could be your family. The Euro TV Place states: “… this is the story of an unlikely family, … A story in which, without exception, everyone doing their worst will try to do their best.” Yes. That usually happens when death comes knocking at your door.
