Monsters at Work: Are we going to see Boo again?
Monsters at Work is going to join the Disney Plus line up. This Tv series is the sequel Monsters Inc fans really deserves.
Monsters Inc is one of the best Disney Pixar movies of all time. Two decades had passed when Disney released one of its most touching movies. For a Budget of $115 Million, the original film made $577.4 million at the box office. It spawned a prequel that is even more successful. Monsters Inc characters also made a special appearance at the game Kingdom Hearts 3.
I remember back in 2013 I was excited that Disney announced a sequel. It only ended in disappointment because Monsters University is a prequel. That prequel tackles the early beginnings of Mike and Sully when they are still college students. Despite my difference in opinion, I won’t deny that Monsters University is a success as it made $743.6 Million. Fans do want a sequel that will follow what happened after the first movie. How does Monster Inc remain sustainable after the monsters stopped scaring children?
Monsters at Work will follow the events of Monsters Inc. After Boo was sent home, Monsters uses children’s laughter instead of screams as their energy source.
John Goodman and Billy Crystal will reprise their roles from the movies. They will play James P. “Sulley” Sullivan and Michael “Mike” Wazowski again. Poker player Jennifer Tilly will also returned as Cecilia who is Mike’s girlfriend. Mary Gibbs who played Boo is now an adult. I wonder if she can guest and reprise the role she played as a child.
The series centers on a New character, Tylor Tuskman who is played by Ben Feldman. He was a new graduate scarer who is forced to become a mechanic because Monsters stopped scaring children. Mike and Sulley also got promoted for a higher position after the success of using children’s laughter as energy source.
