Modiphus Opens Fallout Factions, Dark Deeds For Preorder

Modiphus Entertainment has opened the preorder window for two upcoming projects of theirs, suggesting they’re close to release (though an exact date was not given for either).

The Fallout franchise will be bigger than ever in 2024 with a new Amazon Prime TV series set to hit this April, and Modiphus’ Fallout Factions: Battle For Nuka World landing on game tables soon. It is a new PvP skirmish game from seasoned designer James Hewitt (Necromunda, Adeptus Titanicus, Blood Bowl).

Battle For Nuka World is intended as a starter set with first-time players in mind, but seasoned veterans of the Fallout Factions game will find plenty of challenge if they desire it.  The set box, dice sets, and faction miniatures will all be made available on the same day. Modiphus also publishes Fallout: The Roleplaying Game and Fallout: Wasteland Warfare, for those wanting to dig deeper.

Modiphus is also preparing the new card game Dark Deeds for release. It’s described as a “darkly humorous card game” for 2 to 5 players created by Andy Chambers and Mark Gibbons.

Set in a sinister fantasy city, Dark Deeds casts players as malicious minions in service to a powerful, mysterious, and clearly villainous Patron. In the service of this dark power, minions must perform acts of thievery, violence, and betrayal, all while avoiding suspicious authorities, interfering do-gooders, and the machinations of their rivals. Rich rewards await the most successful minion, alongside horrific punishments for those who fail.

Preorders for both products are open now. Modiphus isn’t telling us when they’ll be available but we’re assuming sometime within 2024. It would make sense to release Battle For Nuka World alongside the Amazon show.

Wow, this news has got me pumped! As a die-hard Fallout fan, the prospect of diving into the Battle For Nuka World skirmish game is thrilling. It's great to see Modiphus catering to both newcomers and seasoned players alike. And Dark Deeds sounds like a deviously fun addition to game nights with friends. I can't wait to get my hands on both of these titles and immerse myself in the post-apocalyptic world of Fallout while scheming away in the dark corners of Dark Deeds' sinister city.

Hm, interesting move by Modiphus. While I appreciate the effort to expand the Fallout universe with Battle For Nuka World, I'm cautious about yet another PvP skirmish game. The franchise already has Wasteland Warfare, and I'm not sure if there's enough room for another similar experience. As for Dark Deeds, I'll reserve judgment until I see more gameplay. It's easy for "darkly humorous" to translate into chaotic and messy. Let's hope Modiphus brings something fresh to the table with these releases.I'm always on the lookout for new additions to my tabletop gaming collection, but I'll admit I'm approaching these preorders with a bit of caution. While I'm intrigued by the concept of Battle For Nuka World, I'll probably wait for some reviews to see if it offers enough depth to keep me engaged. Dark Deeds, on the other hand, sounds like it could be a fun addition to game nights with friends. I'll keep an eye on both of these projects and see how they shape up before committing to a purchase.

I must admit that these recent releases from Modiphus have a really nice sound. Although I'm not generally a fan of PvP skirmish games, Battle For Nuka World has caught my attention because of its emphasis on beginner-friendly gameplay. Additionally, Dark Deeds seems like a ton of fun for get-together gaming nights. When the release dates for these two games approach, I'll surely be watching for additional information.

Finally, some new blood in the tabletop gaming scene! Battle For Nuka World has the potential to scratch that competitive itch with its PvP skirmish gameplay. I'm already strategizing how I'll dominate the wasteland with my faction. And Dark Deeds sounds like the perfect opportunity to flex my strategic muscles in a different setting. Can't wait to show my friends who's boss when these games hit the shelves. I'm always looking for games that challenge my strategic thinking, and both Battle For Nuka World and Dark Deeds seem to offer just that. With Battle For Nuka World's focus on tactical skirmishes and faction warfare, and Dark Deeds' emphasis on careful planning and resource management, I can already feel my brain gears turning. These preorders are definitely going on my radar, and I can't wait to dive into the gameplay mechanics of both titles.

Ah, the world-building possibilities of these new releases have me positively giddy! Battle For Nuka World promises to immerse players in the rich lore of the Fallout universe, allowing us to craft our own narratives of survival and conquest. And Dark Deeds, with its sinister setting and morally ambiguous gameplay, is the perfect canvas for weaving tales of intrigue and betrayal. I'll be preordering both of these games without hesitation, eager to embark on new storytelling adventures with my gaming group.

Ah, the allure of tabletop gaming never ceases to captivate the imagination. With Battle For Nuka World and Dark Deeds, Modiphus presents us with two distinct yet equally intriguing experiences. The former, set in the expansive world of Fallout, beckons us to explore the complexities of factional warfare and strategic maneuvering. It's a testament to the enduring appeal of the franchise and the boundless creativity of its fanbase. Meanwhile, Dark Deeds offers a tantalizing glimpse into the darker corners of our psyche, inviting us to embrace our inner villain as we navigate the treacherous streets of a sinister fantasy city. In both cases, the allure lies not just in the gameplay mechanics themselves, but in the stories we'll craft and the experiences we'll share with friends and fellow adventurers. As I ponder these preorders, I'm reminded of the profound power of tabletop gaming to transport us to new worlds and challenge us to explore the depths of our own creativity. Truly, there's magic to be found in every roll of the dice and every card played.

While I'm intrigued by both Battle For Nuka World and Dark Deeds, I have to consider my gaming budget before jumping into preorders. As much as I love the Fallout universe and the concept of a darkly humorous card game, I'll have to weigh the cost against other gaming priorities. I'll keep an eye on reviews and gameplay impressions to see if these titles are worth the investment, but for now, I'll exercise a bit of restraint and wait for more information.
