CD Projekt RED announced that the upcoming solo-card game set in the world of The Witcher video game series, Gwent, will be showcased this year at PAX West 2016. The creators of The Witcher series of games will be offering a behind-the-scenes look at making of GWENT: The Witcher Card Game with a special panel.
The panel is entitled GWENT: Going Standalone. It will be held on Saturday, September 3 at 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm PST in the Hydra Theatre of the Washington State Convention Center, where PAX West is being held this year. The panel will feature Gwent’s Principal Narrative Designer Mateusz Tomaszkiewicz, Associate Art Director Kasia Redesiuk, and Community Manager Kristine Steimer. The event will be hosted by SourceFed’s Maude Garrett.
In addition, the panel will be streamed live via Twitch.tv. So gamers all over the world will be able to view the panel if they can’t attend PAX live in person.
Gwent: The Witcher Card Game will feature fast-paced duels that combine bluffing, on-the-fly decision making and careful deck construction. The game is played in best two-out-of-three rounds. Players can unleash their hands by using spells and diverse units with special abilities along with clever tricks in order to best their opponents.
GWENT Closed Beta is set to launch on October 25. Players can participate in the Closed Beta at playgwent.com.
