Fruit Ninja Will Soon Be Sliced Into Three Tabletop Games
How interested are you in a tabletop game based around the Fruit Ninja app? Don’t say “not much” just yet — board game publisher Lucky Duck Games is spending an impressive amount of effort on translating this property to physical form, committing to publish THREE different versions of it.
There’s Fruit Ninja Card Master, a game of deck building; Fruit Ninja Slice & Dice, which is played with pairs of dice, and Fruit Ninja Combo Party, geared for a party audience. These games were selected from 20 prototypes after reviewing the work of 50 professional board game designers. Lucky Duck takes its fruit-slashing samurai seriously.
“The support we have received from Halfbrick [the company behind Fruit Ninja] has been amazing,” says Lucky Duck founder Vincent Vergonjeanne, “and now we’re incredibly excited to be launching this Kickstarter campaign and get the last bit of support from our community to bring the unparalleled fun of the Fruit Ninja digital experience to a physical form shared at home with friends and family.”
The three Fruit Ninja tabletop games are for presale now on Kickstarter. A $29 pledge gets you Card Master, pledging $54 or more means Card Master and Slice & Dice, and a $69 pledge is worth all three games plus all unlocked stretch goals. The initial goal of $10,000 has already been reached with 22 days to go.
