Free League Black Friday Sale Launches November 29

7 Comments | free league, free league publishing, tabletop games, Tabletop Gaming | By | | 1 minute of reading

Lately “Black Friday” has become more of a “Black Month,” with merchants offering discounts as soon as November 1 and keeping them active until around December 2. Free League is one of the places that’s keeping the original tradition alive by waiting until the specific Day After Thanksgiving itself.

If there’s a tabletop game under the Free League banner you’ve been thinking about, three days from now would be the time to move on it. Just about everything they currently publish will be at least 50 percent off, including The One Ring™, Dragonbane, Blade Runner The Roleplaying Game, ALIEN The Roleplaying Game, Vaesen – Nordic Horror Roleplaying, Tales from the Loop RPG, Symbaroum, Twilight: 2000, and Mutant: Year Zero. This includes core books, starter sets and a few of the expansions.

Dragonbane

Blade Runner The Roleplaying Game (Expansion Included)

ALIEN The Roleplaying Game

The One Ring™

The Lord of the Rings™ Roleplaying

Vaesen – Nordic Horror Roleplaying

Symbaroum

Ruins of Symbaroum

Mutant: Year Zero (Expansions Included)

Twilight: 2000

Tales from the Loop RPG (Expansions Included)

Coriolis (Expansions Included)

Free League has noted that in some cases, stock may be low and some folks may get an “out of stock” message on specific items in some areas. Early birds, worms and all that. Mark your calendars for November 29 and prepare.

Free League makes some of the best RPGs out there, and this sale is perfect timing for me to grab Blade Runner and maybe even Vaesen. Their games are always so immersive. That said, I wish they’d stock more during these sales—"out of stock" messages are always frustrating. Here’s hoping I can snag everything on my wishlist!

This sale sounds like a fantastic way to stock up on gifts for the kids. My teenagers love Tales from the Loop, and they’ve been asking for expansions. It’s refreshing to see a company stick to the classic Black Friday timing instead of the month-long chaos. I’ll be logging in bright and early to avoid disappointment!

I love Free League’s work, especially Symbaroum! This sale is dangerous for my wallet. That said, the fact that they warn about low stock makes me wonder why they don’t plan better for the demand. Still, I’ll be setting an alarm.

I only play a couple of tabletop games, but Free League’s art and world-building have always intrigued me. I might grab ALIEN The Roleplaying Game. Hopefully, their website can handle the traffic because nothing’s worse than a checkout crash.

This is the perfect time for me to finally pick up Twilight: 2000. I run a lot of games for my kids and their friends, and I’ve been meaning to add some variety to our sessions. Free League always delivers on quality, so I’m excited.

I’ve always admired Free League’s work. Their games are not only fun to play but also visually stunning, with artwork that sets the standard for the industry. This sale has me eyeing Blade Runner and Twilight: 2000, both of which I’ve been meaning to add to my collection. However, I can’t help but feel a bit disheartened by the mention of limited stock. For a company that clearly has a dedicated fanbase, this seems like a missed opportunity to cater to demand. I hope they consider offering digital editions at a discount for those who miss out on physical copies. Still, Free League consistently delivers quality, so I’m willing to give them the benefit of the doubt.

Okay, hear me out—this sale is both amazing and anxiety-inducing. I’m a college student on a tight budget, so a 50% discount is a dream come true. I’ve been dying to get Tales from the Loop, especially since it’s based on that retro-futuristic vibe I adore. But knowing my luck, the game will sell out before I even have a chance to hit “Add to Cart.” It’s hard not to feel a bit left out when stock is limited, but I get it—it’s probably hard to predict demand. If I don’t snag a copy this time, I’ll cross my fingers for another sale in the future. In the meantime, I’ll be daydreaming about all the adventures I could be having with these games.
