Mister Terrific is the name of two DC Comics superheroes. The current and most prominent version, Michael Holt, was created by John Ostrander and Tom Mandrake, first appearing in The Spectre vol. 3 #54 in June 1997.
Michael Holt possesses 14 Ph.D.s and is described as the third-smartest person on Earth. He uses T-Spheres, floating multifunctional devices of his own invention, for combat, surveillance, and hacking. His T-Mask renders him invisible to electronic detection. A polymath and Olympic-level athlete, Holt is one of DC"s most formidable non-powered heroes.
Holt served as chairman of the Justice Society of America and has been a key strategist for multiple superhero teams. In the 2025 DC Universe film Superman, Mister Terrific is portrayed by Edi Gathegi.
