Captain James Algernon Cloudesley Hook is the antagonist of the 1990-91 Fox animated series Peter Pan and the Pirates, voiced by Tim Curry. Curry won a Daytime Emmy Award for the role, which remains one of the most regarded takes on Barrie's pirate captain in animation.
The series gives Hook a fuller name and a running campaign against Peter Pan across its 65 episodes, supported by his crew and his long-suffering first mate, Mr. Smee.
