What's Good Cyber Punk?

Hmm... BGC is pretty fucking good. Keith and I were talking about this because I'm hunting for good inspirational material for a Shadowrun 2070 game I'm gonna be running in a month or two.

I'd be particularly keen on books or comics.

MD Geist is more Post-Apocalyptic than Cyberpunk, I'd say, though Akira fits pretty perfectly.

Obviously, Bladerunner is base archetype for the whole genre, but I'm looking for more diverse sources and additional color.

Whoa.... I think Mike has your winner, ODP:

Neuromancer:

Huh... I think we found Shadowrun's source material.....

BCG 2040 is pretty good.

I'm sorry but the original OAV series is so much better than 2040. There is simply no contest. The music alone puts it over. If you haven't seen it yet then i strongly urge you check it out. I'm not saying it's perfect or anything but IMO it owns 2040 forever.

It's pretty much a necessity for a true geek to watch Blade Runner at some time during his or her life.

Agreed. 2040 was good for what it was, but it didn't have the same dynamic presence as the original, plus the music doesn't really stack up. Any one of Kinuko Oomori's songs can blow the whole TV soundtrack away. However, I do think the character designs for 2040's Priss and Sylia are perfectly done.

Fuckin' hot! :O_O:

Neuromancer: to be picked up from the bookstore on Tuesday.

Just a point of potential interest if you never saw these before, dude.
