I mean I liked the ones in the movie, but it could've felt more...if they wanted to be subtle about Godzilla...doesn't hurt to add some homages...these were mine that popped up in my head while watching it...
Little Kid in an airplane tells his mom about a "monster" in the ocean and the mother refutes him stating "monsters" aren't real. (homage to Godzilla the Series)
Soldier witnessing Godzilla using his breath: "If this thing starts flying with its breath...I'm outta here." (homage to Hedorah)
Soldier witnessing the battle between Muto and Godzilla "That thing needs to do something...kick him...kick him...kick him like a kangaroo...body slam...body slam...jump and sit on his ass." (homage to Megalon, Son of Godzilla, and Megagirus)
Fisherman catch something only for it to reveal Godzilla's Eye (nod to the G98 trailer)
Godzilla inadvertently steps on a T-Rex Fossil (again...another homage to G98)
Godzilla blowing a hole through the building to get to MUTO, then collapsing a building onto it (nod to Godzilla's fight with Super X in 1985)
Soldier giving a dirty look to a scientist: "Non thinking primitive animal, my ass" (nod to the two scientist deciding for Godzilla and King Kong to fight)
Godzilla's tail shooting out of the ground and wiggling around (homage to Mothra)
