I'm really drawn to stories that showcase unconventional heroes, you know, characters who don't fit the typical mold of a "hero." Films like "Deadpool" and "The Princess Bride" come to mind, but I'm curious about other titles that feature unique protagonists. What are some iconic films that you think highlight unconventional heroes and their journeys?

You can't go wrong with "Deadpool" and "The Princess Bride" when it comes to unconventional heroes! I'm also a big fan of "The Shape of Water", it beautifully flips the typical hero narrative with a mute woman and a creature, showcasing love and acceptance in a unique way.

Another film to consider is "The Red Turtle." It tells the story of a man shipwrecked on a deserted island, and it's so quietly powerful in how it explores survival and human connection without any dialogue. These unconventional journeys really resonate because they often reflect real-life struggles and triumphs in a way traditional hero stories sometimes overlook.

What do you think about animated films in this genre? I feel like they often push boundaries in character development and storytelling!
