I understand that Brian Johnson promotes a primal lifestyle, and I respect that he built a large following. However, raw meat diets and extreme workouts are not backed by enough science for me to take it seriously. I come from a background in nutrition, and I believe there are safer and healthier ways to improve fitness and strength. It’s also hard to ignore that his supplement business makes a lot of money—so I wonder how much of his image is based on genuine belief, and how much is just smart marketing. I’ll probably watch the documentary, but only to understand how these internet figures influence people today.
I actually like the Liver King. I know his methods are a little crazy, but I’ve followed him on Instagram for a while, and he’s entertaining. Sure, raw liver is not for me, but I think he motivates people to take health seriously. I think the docuseries will be fun to watch. We live in a time when many people just sit at desks all day, so it’s cool to see someone push a different way of life. I respect him for being different, even if I don’t agree with everything.
This guy is a scammer, plain and simple. He tells people to eat raw organs and lift like cavemen, while selling expensive supplements. The documentary might expose him, but honestly, how did people fall for it in the first place? Just because someone has big muscles doesn’t mean their ideas are good. I’m glad Netflix is covering this. Maybe now more people will think before they follow random fitness trends online.

I think people follow the Liver King because they are tired of modern life. Fast food, stress, screens everywhere—his message feels like an escape. I don’t agree with his exact methods, but I understand the deeper idea. People want purpose and strength. But when the documentary mentions questions about his “authenticity,” I start to wonder if even he believes in what he says. If it's all a performance, then what is left behind after the show is over?
I follow fitness content and I’ve seen many different diets. Liver King’s style is one of the most extreme. But he did get attention, and he clearly knows how to promote himself. I’m not sure if his ideas are healthy, but I want to see how Netflix presents them. Hopefully it also talks to doctors or experts. Not everyone can or should live like this, and that needs to be clear in the series.
Isn’t his career basically over after it came out that he was using steroids? His whole image was built on “natural” strength and this primal lifestyle, so finding out he wasn’t being honest kind of destroys the message. I understand people make mistakes, but when you’re promoting a lifestyle while secretly doing something else, it’s hard to trust anything after that. I’m curious if the documentary will address that or just try to paint him in a better light.
I don’t understand why anyone would risk eating raw meat in the first place. It can contain harmful bacteria like E. coli or salmonella, which can cause serious illness. Even if someone looks strong on the outside, it doesn’t mean what they’re doing is safe. I think this documentary should include medical experts explaining the health risks. People might watch him and think it’s okay to copy that behavior. I care about fitness too, but safety should come first. You can build muscle without putting your health in danger
