I'm having a little issue with a tracker. I do not understand, but it keeps giving me a 403: IP Forbidden. I was wondering if this normal (two of my friends got it too when I asked them to check it out) or if I'm screwed over.
If I remember correctly, don't 403s usually mean you've been banned? As for finding new trackers, that shouldn't be a problem at all. The two main trackers I use are B's Monster Tracker, down at the moment, but it's a great place for more obscure toku. Then there's also Zettai Toku, has a lot more of the mainstream stuff.
And if you ever need to use it, we have a pretty good raw provider here
If that happens with trackers, it's sometimes because your share ratio is really low, meaning that you're not seeding the files you DL enough. It's happening more and more that trackers have it set so that anyone who's ratio is below a certain amount gets banned because they're just being a leech.
Have absolutely no idea if this applies to Ladymercury's particular case, just saying that it often does.
Actually, I just clicked on the link and my IP was automatically banned. I've never been to the site in my life. I mean, how can I get a high ratio if I can't even get through the door? x_o
^ It might be that they just banned a group of ISPs and yours was unfortunately included in the mix. It's like how another tracker site banned all of the ISPs from certain countries because of a few hackers from those countries who were hacking their tracker. If that's the case, unless you're able to contact the site Admins via email, chances are you won't be able to do much unfortunately.
