My friend brought this up, that the rumors are that Topher Grace is Ben Reily and the other Thomas-guy is Eddie Brock. That's Scarlet Spider and Venom for those unfamiliar.
Don't you think it's a way bit too early for a Scarlet spider saga with venom in it?
Raimi already said he didn't want to do a Venom story a long time ago.. not sure if he changed his mind but seriously... In my opinion, it's way too early for a Venom.
Sandman... I'm not too fond of him... but according to rumours going on throughout Sony offices, I guess it's official that our next villain is Sandman since there are lots of "Sand" testing going around in there.
I hoped for the Lizard... he would've made a kickass villain and to most, it would've seemed like the obvious choice.

I remember hearing that there was supposed to be a contract signed for like 6 Spider-Man movies, not saying that would be a bad thing since they seem to be getting better each time but wouldn't Tobey be branded as Spidey forever, like Christopher Reeve = Superman?
