Toku with the best use of CGI

Den-O, Kabuto, Gekiranger, Abaranger, and Ryukendo were really well done.

But how come nobody yet has said Garo? Most of the action in that series is CGI. And I had to keep reminding myself that when I watched it.

There is NO such thing as best use of CGI. It ALL sucks when it's thrown into a Live Action series or movie.

Of course there's NO such thing. Mainly because nobody can texture objects and settings properly resulting in the "cookie cutter."

I'd have to agree.

What the Gamera trilogy proved is that CGI integrated with tradition techniques can make something kick ass.

*Suitmation, Stop-Motion, Puppetry, Animatronics > CGI

From Gaoranger to Spider-man 2..... ALL ****.

Concurred!

The only time CGI in live-action is acceptable to me is if it is COMPLETELY IMPOSSIBLE to pull off a particular stunt in real life, or for kaiju/creatures/etc that a costume could not be made for due to non-humanoid characteristics. Also, in some cases for things such as abnormal settings, spaceships, and certain special effects that pyrotechnics can't pull off. There's many good uses for CGI in live-action, but it should be kept to an absolute minimum. Save CGI for CGI shows/movies; when I watch live, I WANT "LIVE", DAMMIT! :shakefist

I'll also jump on the GARO bandwagon for best use of CGI in toku, although I do believe they used it a bit too religiously.
