Was anyone else a fan of the original movie back in the day?

I don't think I ever saw Pt. 2 or 3. I do recall a Canadian TV show aswell.

It's one of those movies that you have fond memories of from your childhood that, when watched today, isn't quite as good. I enjoyed the first one very much, and rented it on numerous occasions as a youth. Nowadays, though...

Okay. Random reply here from me, but if you liked the movie in any way or if you liked the Chronicles of Narnia or Lord of the Rings you MUST MUST MUST read the actual book "The Neverending Story". Soooooooooo much better.

Anywho. I love that movie. I saw 2 and 3. 2 was pretty good. It wasnt as great as number 1 (in my opinion. I knew someone who liked 2 better.) It had good characters and a really good story. Part 3 was just stupid. lol. I didnt even finish watching it sooo.. yeah.

Great great movie. I never read the book cause Im not much of a reader. I cant keep my attention on the words long enough. Especially if they are long sentances. My mind starts daydreaming and I stop reading and then it takes forever for me to get through it. Im just not a reader really. Though Im sure books are better.

I see Jonathan Brandis was Bastien in part 3.

Anyone know that he killed himself a few years ago?. I think he was on that Seaquest DSV show aswell.

Didn't they also have a new Atreyu for every single movie?.

Is there actual names for all the weird looking characters in the movie?.

Johnathan was in Part 2. Jason James Richter, the kid from Free Willy was in Part 3.

I remember seeing all 3...I didn't even know they made a third movie till last year, when I saw it on TV...it's quite sad to realize that Jack Black was in that movie...For shame!

Brilliant film. For me, this movie's timeless and one of the reasons I got into reading.

I heard about Jonathan Brandis.... that was just insane.

Third movie was embarassingly horrible.
