The Most Memorable One-Take Fight Scenes in Film History

One-take fight scenes are a special breed of action that truly showcase the skill of both the performers and the filmmakers. They pull you in with their seamless flow, making you feel every punch, kick, and bead of sweat as if you were right there in the thick of it.

Two of my all-time favorites are the corridor fight in *Oldboy* and the kitchen fight in *The Raid 2*. The raw choreography in both scenes is insane! In *Oldboy*, the way they utilize the camera to follow the action makes it feel so relentless, and that suave, gritty style is just unforgettable. Meanwhile, *The Raid 2* ups the ante with its brutal choreography and stunts that are mind-blowing, especially how they transition between different fighting styles.

Another great mention is the one-take action scene in *Atomic Blonde* where Charlize Theron takes on a whole roster of bad guys. The intensity and the way the camera maneuvers through the chaos blows my mind every time!

Which one-take fight scenes do you all think deserve more love? Any hidden gems out there I might have missed? Let's nerd out over our favorites!

The one-take fight scene in Oldboy is definitely a classic, and it really sets the bar for how immersive action can be. I totally agree about The Raid 2, the pacing and choreography are just relentless! I'd also throw in the hallway scene from Birdman. The way it captures the chaos of stage life and mixes in that fluid camerawork really makes it stand out for me.

As for hidden gems, I think the one-take sequence in 1917 has a lot of love but sometimes gets overshadowed by the war epic elements. It beautifully highlights the urgency and tension in a way that few others manage. What do you think about 1917? Any other scenes caught your eye recently?
