If this show captures even half that excitement, it might actually be fun to watch.

The whole point of the original story was that winning changed your life forever. If Netflix wants people to take this seriously, they need to go big—million-dollar prize at least. Otherwise, it’s just another reality show that no one will remember in a year.

What’s the elimination format going to be? In the book, the kids took themselves out by being greedy, careless, or downright awful. Will contestants get “eliminated” for breaking rules? Failing challenges? Or will Netflix just throw in a voting system and ruin the whole concept?
